  • • Allow your browser in your system settings (Windows: Privacy & security > Microphone / Mac: Privacy & Security > Microphone).
  • • Make sure no other app, such as a video call or recording app, is using the microphone.

  • Switch between microphones to find which input device is in use

Good to know

FAQ

Is my recording saved anywhere?
No. Recordings are handled only inside your browser and are never sent or uploaded to a server. The data is discarded when you close the page.
What should I do if the microphone doesn’t respond?
Check the permission via the microphone icon in your browser’s address bar, and check that your browser is allowed in your operating system’s microphone settings. It may also not respond if another app is using the microphone.
What input level is right?
If the peaks while you talk stay around −30 dB to −6 dB, the level is suitable for calls and recording. If it sticks at 0 dB, it may be clipping, so lower the input volume.
Does it work on smartphones?
Yes. You can test on iPhone and Android browsers once you allow the microphone (support varies by device and browser).
